This is our foremost concern when training employees. North Aspect has extensive safety and contingency plans. Our employees are well informed with safety meetings and reference sheets. Work does not commence without proper safety gear., and training. Our record with WCB is accident free and clients have been more than happy with our safety procedures.

Company Profile

Mary BigecNorth Aspect has been operating for over seven years. Extensive years of experience in silviculture has allowed this company to continue operating high quality projects for various clients.

Our greatest asset is our employees, who have many years of experience each and continue to improve their knowledge in the area of forestry. Most of our employees had started in this business with planting trees and have carried through to supervising valuable contracts. Hard work with high quality is first and foremost in all of our contracts.

Mary Bigec, Manager has been in the silviculture industry since 1987. Her experiences have included all aspects of fieldwork, from tree planter to supervisor and project manager. Mary supervises planting implementation and has administered survey and audit contracts over the past three years as an accredited silviculture surveyor. is a graduate of the Forest Management Institute of BC Silviculture Technical Module Program.


Management and Staff


Nick Hawes

Rachel Miklosko Graduate of BCIT Forestry Tech Program in 2005 and an accredited silviculture surveyor.  Extensive experience with tree planting, brushing, herbicide, administrative forestry and beetle probing.

Nick Hawes is the owner of North Aspect and a certified faller, danger tree assessor, excavator operator, pilot and is has worked in all aspects of silviculture. Nick has over fifteen years of experience working in the forestry industry.

Alan Eschuk  Extensive experience with tree planting, silviculture surveys, brushing, herbicide, forestry research and administrative forestry. Alan is a certified survey and has experience with beetle probing.


 

Other Employees

Neil Bailey: Many years of experience with planting, brushing, beetle probe, layout, GPS and silviculture surveys.

Bill Vanzanten: Experience with planting supervision and implementation of contracts as well as silviculture surveys.

Bronwyn Cormack: Biochemistry student at UNBC. Experience with tree planting, brushing, herbicide and silviculture surveys.
